Washington: Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump yet again took a sharp swipe at US President Joe Biden-endorsed Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, calling her "worse."
Trump in a post on his social media Truth Social targeted the 81-year-old president saying, "Joe Biden will go down as the Worst President in the history of the United States."

This comes a day after Biden announced his withdrawal from the presidential race for the coming November presidential race.

The announcement by the 46th POTUS was made on X, where his post read, "My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term. My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this."
'Trump Wants to Take Our Country Backwards'
US Vice President Kamala Harris kicked off her presidential campaign with a scathing attack on her Republican rival Trump alleging that he wants to take the country backwards.

Addressing a huge crowd at Wilmington, the 59-year-old said, "Donald Trump wants to take our country backwards to a time before many of our fellow Americans had full freedoms and rights. But we believe in a brighter future that makes room for all Americans. We believe in a future where every person has the opportunity not just to get by, but to get ahead."
"We believe in a future where no child has to grow up in poverty, where every person can buy a home, start a family, and build wealth and where every person has access to paid family leave and affordable child care. That's the future we see," she added.

In her first campaign, Harris said that Democrats are fighting to build a nation where everyone has affordable healthcare, is paid fairly, and can retire with dignity.
"All of this will be a defining goal of my presidency because we know when our middle class is strong, America is strong. That's not the future Donald Trump is fighting for."

"He and his extreme Project 2025 will weaken the middle class and bring us backwards, back to the failed trickle-down policies that gave huge tax breaks to billionaires and big corporations and made working families pay the cost," she said.
Meanwhile, Harris' campaign managed to raise $81 million in the first 24-hour period since Biden endorsed his deputy as the Democratic Party's new nominee.
