From White House Intern to Youngest Press Secy: Who is Karoline Leavitt, Key Pick For Trump 2.0

Washington: US President-elect Donald Trump has announced that 27-year-old Karoline Leavitt will be White House Press Secretary in his upcoming tenure of presidency.

If we say that age is just a number it would not be wrong in case of Leavitt, as she is set to be young enough to hold position and is just 27 years old. She will be youngest person ever to hold this position, surpassing previous record set by Ronald Ziegler in 1969 who was 29 years old during Richard Nixon's time as US President. 

She has been a political aide of Trump and was working for him during his 45th tenure as president of United States.

From Intern in White House Office to Press Secretary

She began her career as a summer intern in White House Office of Presidential Correspondence and later joined White House Press Office as an assistant press secretary under Kayleigh McEnany during Trump's first term.

Leavitt is originally from New Hampshire and has a bachelor's degree in communications and political science from Saint Anselm College.

"Today, 45th and 47th President of United States Donald J. Trump announced that Karoline Leavitt will serve as White House Press Secretary. Karoline was Trump Campaign National Press Secretary and previously served in Trump White House as Assistant Press Secretary", said Trump-Vance campaign in a statement.
