The fact that fans of film celebrities often take extreme steps for their favourite stars is well-known. However, KGF star Yash’s supporters took it on another level by harassing an actor-couple, who even urged Yash and his actor-wife Radhika Pandit to intervene in the matter. Sudarshan Rangaprasad, known primarily as a stand-up comedian, and his actor-wife Sangeetha Bhat were at the receiving end after a two-year-old video surfaced where the former had poked fun at Yash. Sudarshan ranted over 'immature' youngsters abusing him over the video, terming their language as ‘alarming’ and how the cyber monitoring laws need to catch up with the 'bullies.'   He also revealed that he has approached the Bengaluru Police over the same.

Sudarshan had used Yash’s style of a build-up and his dialogues to mimic a funny situation from his college days in a stand-up act from two  years ago. But the fans were not happy and got agitated at him on social media. It was so heated that she also shared some screenshots of the abusive messages he received

He wrote on Facebook, "I'd like to thank all the people who've come out in support.I am still surprised how an old video has, out of the blue, escalated. Upon an initial survey, most of the ppl harassing and throwing death threats are young kids between 16 to 23ish, ten to fifteen years younger than me! Many of them have profiles with wallpapers as their DPs, and have pseudo names with funny adjectives full of spelling mistakes. They don't even speak Kannada properly with 'Aa' and 'Ha' trading positions with great confidence. Many of them have patchy teenage moustaches and have probably just learnt how to shave. They are at a phase between teenagers and young adults. I understand hormones go bonkers producing a lot of masculinity at the wrong places."

"I respect the institution of fan clubs, but there needs to be a clear distinction between being fans and being hooligans, " the post read.He continued, "With such ppl, comedy is getting riskier. I think comedy concepts around tables and chairs would not offend anyone. But you never know, if the chair belongs to a star the 'die hard fans' would still get offended and rip their clothes apart and start playing PubG with their tongues. I wish the education system had more lessons around how to respect women, how to take a joke, how to speak and other basic etiquettes than math and science... I wish more films projected the true essence of masculinity... I wish the stars could intervene and educate fans against such behaviour... I wish the cyber monitoring laws get stronger than the bullies... I can only wish!We are committed to spreading our art and culture through peace and sophistication. With clear intentions, the journey will go on..." (sic)

In a post in Kannada, he added, "I have worked with Yash and a fan myself of him. People are mistaking my comment and abusing me badly. I request them not to take the joke, very seriously, and stop this trolling immediately. I did to intend to hurt or disrespect anyone." "I am sure your Yash would not approve of your behaviour," he also said.

Sangeetha reacts

Sangeetha, on the other hand, wrote, "I usually don't bother for such comments or posts because as far as i have worked for the film industry i have only concentrated on giving my best. But this has gone out of hand, people are reaching an all time low, these posts are just a few examples, i hope and wish that Yash would look into this and put an end to this. #yash #radhikapandit.
