Kim Jong Un announces measures to contain coronavirus in North Korea
North Korea's leader Kim Jong Un reportedly announced measures to prevent coronavirus from spreading in the region and said that contagion route is uncertain.

rth Korea’s Supreme Leer Kim Jong Un has reportedly anunced measures to prevent coronavirus from spreing in region. According to rth’s state-run news ncy, Kim Jong Un met his Workers' Party of Korea on February 29 and warned of serious consequences if dely virus finds its way into country.
During meeting, Kim said that his government took highly reliable, preemptive and decisive preventive measures against vel coronavirus whose contagion route is scientifically uncertain. While rth Korea has t confirmed a single case of coronavirus in country, its geographical proximity to China and South Korea puts at high risk.

United States has also promised to support and encour aid work in rth Korea to “counter and contain” spre of vel coronavirus, COVID-19, in region. Citing rth’s vulnerability to dely virus, State Department spokesperson Morgan Orgatus h said in a statement that US “strongly support” and “encour” work of national and international health organisations to combat coronavirus.
“ United States is rey and prepared to expeditiously facilitate approval of assistance from se organizations,” said Orgatus.

Saudi Arabia halts entry
Iran has reported most number of deaths due to coronavirus after China and Gulf nations including Bahrain and Kuwait also confirmed cases linked to Iran. In a bid to contain virus, Saudi Arabia has temporarily suspended entry of citizens from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to cities of Mecca and Medina.

“ decision excludes GCC’s citizens who have been in Kingdom for 14 consecutive days and did t show signs of coronavirus infection,” said Saudi’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement.
