Scientists have unveiled a newly discovered species of a pterosaur on September 11, largest ever flying animal according to a study conducted by Queen Mary University in London. y are plane-sized reptiles that domineered skies in ancient times of history over T-rex, Triceratops and or disaurs of Late Cretaceous. se species come from Azhdarchid group of pterosaurs. y were largest flying reptiles with a wingspan of up to 10 meters and weighs 250 kgs which lived during period of Cretaceous around 77 million years ago. remains of reptiles were found 30 years ago in Alberta, Cana, but palaeontologists assumed it wrong believing species belonged to an alrey kwn species of pterosaur discovered in Texas, USA, named Quetzalcoatlus.

Researchers: Cryodrakon boreas, largest flying animal of all time
Cryodrakon boreas, are largest flying animal of all time, researchers reported in Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology.
Author and researcher of Queen Mary University, London, David Hone, said its a very great discovery. He said it's great being able to identify Cryodrakon as being distinct from Quetzalcoatlus, or giant pterosaur which y have earlier mistaken. fossil remains of species consisting of a skeleton that has part of wings, legs, neck and a rib of a fully grown specimen have clarified doubt of a new species that has been discovered.

About species
se species were carnivorous which probably predated on lizards, small mammals, and even baby disaurs. Unlike or pterosaur groups, se species are kwn primarily from terrestrial settings and ir ability to cross oceanic distances in flight me believe scientists y lived in inland environments. re are more than 100 kwn species of pterosaurs according to researchers. Due to ir large size and wide distribution across continents of rth America, South America, Asia, Africa, and Europe, only fragmentary remains have been discovered making new find especially vital.
