Chile announced it decided to close all its borders after the cases of coronavirus doubled from 75 to 156 in less than 24 hours.

The closure of the borders will not affect the entering or exiting of cargo and the personnel associated with that cargo, Chile President Sebastián Piñera has said.

There is also a home quarantine of 14 days required for Chilean nationals who are returning from risk areas, such as Italy, Spain, Iran and China.
