Authorities have warned Ans residents, especially those living in norrn and eastern suburbs of city to avoid leaving ir homes, particularly before 10 a.m. when snowfall is forecast to ease.

Snow is common in Greece’s mountains and in north of country, but much rarer in capital, particularly heavy snow.
