The Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will lead the Indian Parliamentary delegation on their tour to Japan. The delegation will visit Japan on November 2 to participate in the 6th Parliamentary Speakers' Summit along with the G20 countries. The summit will be held from November 3 to November 5 in Tokyo.
P20 summit will host three sessions
According to the reports, the summit will host three sessions on separate issues which will of economic trade, technology, and sustainable development. According to the official release, the first session will hold talks on the theme of 'Promotion of Free, Open and Fair Trade and Investment'. In the second session, the parliamentary delegates will be expected to discuss 'Utilization of Innovative Technology towards a human-centered Future Society' and the third session help the delegates to reflect on the 'Efforts towards Resolution of Global Challenges and Achievement of the SDGs (Financing for Development, Need for Transparent and Effective Government, etc.)'.

Speakers to adopt joint statement
According to the procedure of the summit, the speakers will endorse a joint statement incorporative of all the major points. This document will provide the Parliamentary inputs to the G20 heads of Government/States Conference, who will participate in the next G20 summit.

The P20 summit
The G20 Parliamentary summit is also known as P20 organised by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), along with House of Councillors of National Diet of Japan from November 3 to November 5 in Tokyo. Other rounds of P20 summit will be held in Argentina starting from October 31 to November 2.

Om Birla meets PM of the Republic of Serbia during IPU
The Speaker of the Lower House in Parliament, Om Birla, on his trip to Belgrade for attending IPU (Inter-Parliamentary Union) met the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Ana Brnabic on Wednesday, October 16. India and Serbia exchange mutual warmth as both countries were the co-founders of the non-alignment movement. Om Birla is on his visit to Belgard with a delegation of other MPs from both the houses to attend the Inter-Parliamentary Union. An official statement released after their meeting said, "Observing that India and Serbia have been close friends, Birla recalled that as co-founders of the Non-Alignment Movement, the two countries have traditionally enjoyed mutual trust and warmth. Birla mentioned that India has been supportive of Serbia on crucial issues including Serbia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
