Malayalam actress Manju Warrier, crew stranded in Himachal Pradesh

Malayalam actress Manju Warrier and crew of a recent film she is shooting have reportedly been stranded in Himachal Pradesh amid floods in state.  team has been trying to get in touch with higher authorities, who are looking into situation. As per reports, Manju, director Sanal Kumar Sasidharan and crew are stuck in Chhatru, 100 kms away from Manali in Himachal Pradesh. team had reached location on July 25.

team got stuck due to  floods derailing road connectivity in area. Moreover, Manju and team are struggling for food, since ir supply for two days is over. Reports claimed Manju contacted her bror Madhu Warrier over satellite phone. He n got in touch with Union minister of State for External Affairs, V Muraleedharan. Minister reportedly contacted Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and efforts to rescue crew is underway.

Flood fury: 

As per reports, 58 people have been killed in rain-related incidents in five states, including Himachal Pradesh in last few days. In HP, reportedly 24 have been killed. Himachal Pradesh received a record rainfall on Sunday. Landslides have been reported from Himachal Pradesh, and videos of m had also surfaced.  forecast for next two days in Manali, however, looks fine as partly cloudy sky or generally cloudy sky with light rain is being forecast for next 48 hours. Meanwhile, Bollywood stars have been contributing. Akshay Kumar, Riteish-Genelia Deshmukh, Amitabh Bachchan have made donations over last month over floods in areas like Assam, Maharashtra, among ors.

Professional front: 

Manju is among most accomplished actresses in Malayalam cinema. She had featured in blockbuster ‘Lucifer’ alongside Mohanlal, Tovi Thomas,  Vivek Oberoi, among ors earlier this year. She had played role of Vivek Oberoi’s wife in  movie. 'Lucifer' was directed by Prithviraj. film reportedly hit Rs 200-crore-mark in worldwide collections. sequel of movie has also been anunced. She is also set to star in ‘Asuran’ opposite Dhanush. Sanal Kumar Sasidharan is kwn for controversial ‘S Durga’ (earlier titled ‘Sexy Durga) that had run into a row with censor board in 2017.
