Hishammuddin Hussein, foreign minister of Malaysia, said in parliament that ''Kuala Lumpur opposes Chinese claims of having historic rights over those waters."
" Malaysian government considers claims of China as baseless under international law," ded Hussein while answering questions from members of parliament on status of dragon country's claims in region.
A recent report by Malaysian government suggests that Chinese time and again have tried to enter exclusive ecomic zone between 2016 and 2019.

In response to Beijing, Malaysian government h issued a verbal te to United Nations on July 29 saying that "it rejected claims by China of any historical rights, or any or sovereign rights or jurisdiction while respecting maritime areas of South China Sea, that was encompassed by relevant part of nine-dash-line.''
