The British duo of Matt Lucas and David Walliams reunited for an episode of famous sketch comedy Little Britain for a Brexit-themed special. The one-off episode will be broadcasted on October 31 at 6.30 pm. Actor-comedian David Walliams took to Twitter to inform that the show was recorded on the night of October 27 at Shaw Theatre in London.
Little Britain started as a radio show in 2000 which was broadcasted on BBC Radio 4 and ended in 2002. Radio 4 began a rerun in 2004 of all the episodes, a bit edited version to suit the 6.30 pm time slot. Later, all the episodes were shot for television screening where most of the radio material was adapted for the television. The title Little Britain was a result of an amalgamation of Little England and Great Britain.
Impending Brexit affecting characters
The sketch comedy consists of exaggerated parodies of British people from all walks of life. It will be interesting to see the much-loved characters of Little Britain and how the impending Brexit has affected their lives. Dafydd, Vicky Pollard, Emily Howard, Marjorie Dawes, Mr Mann, Lou and Andy will be the characters present in the special episode.
Fans excited for the reunion
