9 regime fighters killed in northwest Syria in Turkish shelling

Turkish shelling has killed nine regime fighters in northwestern Syria. The regime fighters were killed on Monday as Syria regime carries out major offensive.

Turkish shelling has killed nine fighters belonging to Syrian regime in rthwestern part of country. regime fighters were killed on Monday. Over 100 were killed on both sides of conflict as Damascus and regime attack last major rebel bastion, according to reports.

Major offensive to take back Idlib

According to a Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, four of fighters who lost ir lives were near vill of Nayrab. or five were killed near Saraqib which is in rthwestern Syria and ministratively falls under Idlib Goverrate. regime forces have since December last year won back large parts of major opposition stronghold of Idlib.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday said that he will meet with Russian President Vlimir Putin, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron on March 5 to discuss situation in rthwest Syria. Erdogan, however, did t specify where meeting would be held. He reportedly said that Turkey "determined our ro map" for Syria after calls on Friday with Russian, German and French leers.

Erdogan while speaking in Izmir province said that he h help telephonic conversations with Putin, Macron and Merkel on Idlib and that y would on March 5 to discuss topic again. This latest anuncement by Erdogan comes after a Turkish soldier was killed in Syria's Idlib province in a bomb attack by Russian-backed government forces.

According to reports, situation in Syria has greatly deteriorated and nearly a million people have been displaced because of conflict.

“ man-me humanitarian nightmare for long-suffering Syrian people must stop,” UN chief Antonio Guterres while dressing international media reporters h said. He ded that re wasn’t any military but only a political solution to crisis. Though during his dress at UN hequarters, he did t talk about any specific plan for curbing bloodshed in longest rebel holdout, international media reported.
