European Union warned Myanmar on Friday, October 5, it could lose tre privileges over its "blatant violation of human rights", as international backlash over Rohingya crisis grows.
EU Tre Commissioner Cecilia Malmstrom said a fact-finding mission would arrive in Myanmar soon to assess wher highly preferential tariff arrangement Myanmar enjoys, kwn as "everything but arms" (EBA), should be withdrawn.

"We can t exclude this outcome and of course reason is blatant violation of human rights in Myanmar," Malmstrom told reporters at a meeting of EU tre ministers in Innsbruck, Austria.
"Our tre policy is values-based. se are t just words. We have to act when re are severe violations."

EBA deal, giving duty-free and tariff-free access to EU market for all products except weapons and ammunition, was reinstated for Myanmar in 2013 to support political reforms as it moved towards democracy after deces of military rule.

But Western powers and UN have accused Myanmar's military of waging a campaign of ethnic cleansing against Rohingya Muslims, who are denied citizenship rights. More than 700,000 members of mirity group took refuge in Banglesh, fearful of returning to mainly Buddhist majority Myanmar despite a repatriation deal between two countries.
Malmstrom also anunced EU was taking steps to end "everything but arms" for Cambodia, where July's elections, which returned strongman Hun Sen to power, were widely criticized internationally as undemocratic.

"On Cambodia we are even one step furr because we h a high level mission re this summer and re were elections marked by harassment and intimidation and everything but fair elections," she said.
"So I have tified Cambodia today that we will launch procedure for withdrawal of EBA."

In 2015, Myanmar government denied citizenship rights to refugees and as a result of this, y migrated to Banglesh. In August 2017, approximately 671,000 Rohingyas Muslims, were forced to evacuate Myanmar's Rakhine state, which was shelter home for Rohingya refugees.
