NASA shares photo of Sun resembling a giant flaming jack o'lantern

Looks like celestial objects have ir own way of celebrating Halloween. With spooky season upon us, National Aeronautics and ministration (NASA) shared a photo of sun’s 2014 Halloween look on social media. Sun looked a lot like a giant flaming jack-o'-lantern in picture captured by NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory.

NASA in a spooky mood for Halloween

On October 27, NASA shared pictures of Sun, which resembles a fiant burning Jack-o’-lantern, famous Halloween Pumpkin. NASA claims that one can find a similarity between Star, which is at center of our solar system and a Pumpkin.

Sun resembles jack-o’-lantern face

NASA posted picture with a caption saying, “Even our star celebrates spooky season — in 2014, active regions on Sun created this jack-o'-lantern face, as seen in ultraviolet light by our Solar Dynamics Observatory satellite (sic)”. In post, US organization explains why Sun looks like a Halloween Pumpkin. " active regions in this im appear brighter because those are areas that emit more light and energy.  y are markers of an intense and complex set of magnetic fields hovering in sun’s atmosphere, corona. This im blends toger two sets of extreme ultraviolet wavelengths at 171 and 193 Ångströms, typically colorized in gold and yellow, to create a particularly Halloween-like appearance," ncy explained.

Twitter post of NASA received over 2,000 likes and people have expressed ir amazement at usual site of Sun.

Recently, NASA previewed next-generation suit kwn as Artemis suits. re are two suits, one of m is proto of Orion Crew Survival Suit which is specifically designed for launch and re-entry into . Ar suit, called Exploration Extravehicular Mobility Unit (xEMU), is designed to undertake lunar mission which aims at exploring South Pole of Moon.
