WHO official said that virus was recently found among bats in South Africa. As China anunced detection of new coronavirus in bats, at a time world continues to reel under dangers from SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19, scientists from China's Wuhan said it could be a more contagious and possibly a deadlier strain of coronavirus compared to earlier detected ones.

"Wher virus detected in study will pose a risk for humans will require furr study," WHO official told TASS. Furr, official informed that WHO is currently working closely with World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and UN Environment Program (UNEP) with an aim to stop possible spread of virus.
On or hand, Chinese scientists said new virus is closely related to Middle East respiratory syndrome-related coronavirus (MERS). Chinese researchers ted that NeoCov spreads in a manner similar to SARS-CoV-2 virus.
NeoCov is t a new virus, says WHO
Meanwhile, appreciating study done by Chinese scientists, WHO ted that wild animals are source of more than 75% of all emerging infectious diseases in humans. According to WHO, most viruses enter human body through se and mouth.

"Animals, particularly wild animals are source of more than 75% of all emerging infectious diseases in humans, many of which are caused by vel viruses. Coronaviruses are usually found in animals, including in bats which have been identified as a natural reservoir of many of se viruses," TASS quoted WHO official as saying.
As per reports, NeoCov is t a new virus but is associated with MERS-CoV virus which was first discovered in outbreaks in Middle Eastern countries in 2012 and 2015.
