Nepal bus accident: Several casualties feared after bus falls into Trishul river

In a tragic incident, an ill-fated passenger bus fell into the Trishul river in Dhading district in Nepal, killing three people and leaving 16 people injured on 9 August. The bus was en route to Kathmandu from Malangwa in Sarlahi district when the tragedy struck and 23 people are reportedly missing.

In a tragic incident, an ill-fated passenger bus fell into the Trishul river in Dhading district in Nepal, killing three people and leaving 16 people injured on 9 August. The bus was en route to Kathmandu from Malangwa in Sarlahi district when the tragedy struck and 23 people are reportedly missing.

Rescue efforts are being carried out by teams of the Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and volunteers of the Red Cross Society. The injured were transported to Rajmarga Community Hospital in Malekhu and a primary health center in Gajuri where they are receiving treatment

Police have not been able to ascertain the exact number of passengers in the vehicle, and fear the death toll could rise sharply.
