Netizens slam Hallmark after it pulls out ad featuring lesbian couple
The Hallmark Channel drew ire of public after it pulled out an advertisement featuring a lesbian couple getting married, following pressure from certain groups.

An American pay television network, Hallmark Channel, drew public ire after it pulled an vertisement featuring a lesbian couple getting married, following pressure from certain groups. A wedding-planning company Zola vertised on Hallmark Channel which reportedly showcased a lesbian couple getting married, however, some communities including 'One Million Moms', outrd against saying channel was “family-friendly network”.

pressure from conservative groups mounted on channel which forced it to pull out vertisements. 'One Million Moms', which claim to fight against “indecency”, confirmed news in a statement. organisation went on to urge Hallmark to stay true to its “family-friendly roots” and keep sex and sexual content – including promotion of homosexuality – out of its programming.
“1MM has personally spoken with Crown Media Family Networks CEO Bill Abbott who confirmed Hallmark Channel has pulled Zola.com commercial, featuring a same-sex couple, from ir network,” said organisation.
“He reported vertisement aired in error, but he was informed about it after hearing from concerned 1MM supporters. Way to go!” it ded celebrating decision.

decision to pull out vertisement was criticised by progressive groups and many people on social media called action cowardice in nature. Netizens accused channel’s move of being homophobic and called for its boycott.
An LGBTQ civil rights organisation stated that only thing controversial in whole episode was Hallmark’s “shameful actions”. It said that Hallmark failed LGBTQ community and all of ir customers.
