North Macedonia President walks girl with Down’s syndrome to school after she was bullied

President of rth Macedonia walked an 11-year-old girl with Down's syndrome to school. Stevo Pendraovski visited family of Embla emi from Gostivar after he heard that she was being bullied, Sky News reported. Pendraovski has shared video of his meeting with 11-year-old girl on Instagram. 

In video posted on photosharing site, rth Macedonia President Stevo Pendraovski held Embla emi's hand as y walked to her school in Gostivar. He also talked to her parents about challenges faced by m and Embla emi on daily basis. He encourd parents in fight for protection of rights of children with atypical development and even welcomed quick response of ombudsman as well as Commission for Protection against Discrimination's decision to launch an investigation into Embla's case, as per release. President called behaviour of people who in any way endanger rights of children "unacceptable," especially children with atypical development. Watch video here: 

rth Macedonia President Stevo Pendraovski stressed that children should t only have rights y deserve but y must also feel equal and welcome in school, President's office said in a statement. Pendarovski in statement said, "We are all equal in this society. "I came to give my support and to raise awareness that inclusion is a basic principle." Furrmore, he called it an "obligation" as a state and individuals and insisted that key element in "common mission is empathy." Stevo Pendraovski explained it will t only help children like Embla, but it will “also help us learn from m how to sincerely rejoice, share and be in solidarity.” He even called for inclusiveness as an aspiration and ded, "prejudices in that context are main obstacle to building an equal and just society for all."
