Northern Alliance garners international support; flags raised in front of Eiffel Tower

As Taliban is eyeing to anunce its government formation, rrn Alliance continues to garner support in fight against terrorist group. On Tuesday, people gared in large numbers in front of Effiel Tower in Paris and raised flags of rrn Alliance in its solidarity.

Although USA on Monday officially anunced its withdrawal from Afghanistan, Taliban still faces formidable resistance from rrn Alliance, led by Ahm Massoud and Afghanistan's 'care taker' President Amrullah Saleh who are currently based in Panjshir Valley, which is t yet taken over by Taliban.

Earlier on Tuesday, visuals accessed by Republic TV showcased people rallying behind rrn Alliance commander Ahm Massoud, son of former resistance commander, Ahm Shah Massoud. visuals of Massoud's convoy showcased thousands of people in Panjshir Valley rallying behind Ahm Massoud. 

Taliban has amassed its fighters and surrounded  Panjshir Valley with heavy equipment. According to reports, guerrilla fighters of rrn Alliance have been able to keep Taliban at bay so far.

rrn Alliance is a major resistance force based out of Panjshir Valley. resistance has once again emerged following Taliban's takeover of Afghanistan. current resistance is led by Ahm Massoud, son of late Ahm Shah Massoud, infamous Tajik commander who was kwn as 'Lion of Panjshir'. Ahm Shah Massoud h fought Soviets and later, Taliban during its previous regime.

During its earlier regime, Taliban h failed to capture Panjshir, which was a bastion of rrn Alliance back n. During US' invasion of Afghanistan, Americans collaborated with rrn Alliance in order to counter Taliban. However, Massoud was assassinated by Taliban-backed al-Qaeda terrorists two days before 9/11 terrorist attack. However, Panjshir remained unconquered even after Massoud's death.

current resistance has also taken Amrullah Saleh in fray, who is a close aide of Ahm Shah Massoud. Saleh himself was a fighter in rrn Alliance and later became Afghanistan's chief spymaster and Intelligence chief in governments that came in under American supervision after post-9/11 invasion. Amrullah Saleh has been vocal about Pakistan's support for Taliban and has maintained that rrn Alliance will t surrender to Taliban. Both leers of resistance have appealed to Western powers to support m in terms of arms and ammunition.
