DoubleTree by Hilton who is famously known for handing out freshly baked cookies has reportedly sent a specially designed 'space oven' and cookie dough to the International Space Station for the astronauts to make the world's first cookie baked in space. This will be the first time that the astronauts will test the impact of high heat in zero gravity. Calling it a 'landmark microgravity experiment', the DoubleTree Hotel chain said that the whole idea is to make space travel more hospitable.

According to the reports, the capsule that took off from the US state of Virginia was also carrying a variety of research hardware and experiment samples which included 14 small satellites, and a prototype vest designed to shield astronauts during deep space missions from dangerous space radiation. NASA says that the Zero-G oven uses an oven designed specifically for use aboard the space station with a top temperature of 363.3°C. They further added that the oven could be used to bake fresh food that could have psychological and physiological benefits for crew members.

Baseball in space

Last week, NASA astronauts celebrated the World Series which is the annual championship league of baseball by playing the game in space. Christina H Koch, Jessica Meir, and Andrew Morgan are currently the residents of International Space Station for various research programs. However, they did not stay behind to celebrate the ongoing Fall Classic and the astronauts were reportedly anticipating the game between Washington Nationals and Houston Astros. Jessica Meir shared the image saying that the game found its way to the Space Station while the video of the three crew members playing baseball in the space lab was also shared by the official page for the coverage of the World Series.
