NSW premier: No decision yet on Sydney NYE rules

The Premier of Australia's New South Wales state said Sunday the administration hasn't yet decided about New Year's Eve in Sydney. During a news conference, Gladys Berejiklian urged citizens to get tested for the coronavirus to have a clearer understanding of the situation in the region.

New South Wales recorded seven new virus cases, all linked to Sydney's Northern Beaches. Six were confirmed as part of the Avalon cluster, a pub linked to around 122 cases in the region.
