New Delhi: Former US President Donald Trump's son Trump Junior took the stage on the third day of the Republican National Convention (RNC) at at Milwaukee's Fiserv Forum and addressed the assassination attempt on his father and hailed him for standing firm following the chaos.

While talking about the assassination bid, he said, "As those bullets rained down, we came millimetres away from one of the darkest moments" in US history."

As he spoke about the audience member, Corey Comperatore, who lost his life in the shooting, the crowd chanted  "Corey, Corey".

Hailing his father for being brave following the attack on him, he said, " There is tough then there is Trump tough and the good news is that America is Trump tough."

Known for being a bomb thrower, he urged Trump's supporters to fight with the votes, adding, "Our greatest days are yet to come."

What Kai Madison Trump Said About Donald

Before starting his speech, Trump Jr brought his daughter Kai Madison Trump to say something about The Republican nominee.

After taking the stage, Kai described how the former president is " just a normal, grandpa" to her.

“He gets us candy and soda when our parents aren’t looking. He always wants to know how we’re doing in school. When I made the high honor roll, he printed it out to show his friends how proud he was of me,” Madison Trump said.

"The media makes my grandpa seem like a different person, but I know him for who he is. He’s very caring and loving. He truly wants the best for this country, and he will fight every single day to make America great again," she added.
