'Criminal gang' Pakistan Army threatening activist Gulalai Ismail

Gulalai Ismail, a Pashtun human Rights Activist, has alleged that the Pakistan Army has been threatening her against speaking up against it

Gulalai Ismail, a Pashtun Human Rights activist from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa region in Pakistan has slammed the Pakistani Army in a series of tweets. The activist alleged that the Army has been threatening her to not speak up against it. The activist even alleged that her parents were threatened by the Army.

As per Ismail, in a tweet that has now been deleted, the Pak Army told the activist to stop spreading propaganda and even told her they know how to put an end to it. The Activist has now responded to the said tweet and asked how much more proof does the world need to understand them.

In a subsequent tweet, Gulalai posted an apparent screenshot of the tweet and stated she was threatened to be harmed in the U.S through their agents.

The activist also alleged that her friends and family were being harassed by authorities. She stated she is being targeted by trolls online and attempts to abduct her parents were made. 

Gulalai speaks on the subject of promoting peace and women's empowerment at conferences internationally and is also the recipient of the International Humanist of the Year Award from the International Humanist and Ethical Union, and of the Fondation Chirac Peace Prize for the Prevention of Conflict. She is an activist in the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) campaigning for Pashtun human rights and is a board member of Humanists International. In 2013 Ismail set up the Marastyal Helpline to give advice and assistance to women at risk from, and victims of, gender-based violence.
