The former prime minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif, who is currently in the custody of the anti-corruption body was allegedly hospitalised on the night of October 21, after his health condition worsened. Reportedly, the former Prime Minister's platelet count was critically low and doctors recommended immediate hospitalisation. Meanwhile, Nawaz Sharif's brother Shahbaz has accused Imran Khan government of not doing anything earlier despite the deterioration in health.

Personal physician informs by tweet
Dr Adnan Khan, the personal physician said he requested authorities concerned to act in urgency.
Dr Khan said he met Sharif at the National Accountability Bureau's (NAB) cell in Lahore and found him unwell.

A NAB spokesperson reportedly said Sharif was shifted to Services Hospital where he was being treated by a team of doctors. He said that Sharif is likely to stay in hospital on Monday night, October 21. PML-N party president and Nawaz Sharif's brother Shahbaz Sharif claimed despite the deteriorating health of his older brother he wasn't shifted to hospital earlier.

He accused the authorities and Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan of negligence and suggested that Imran Khan will be held responsible if anything happens to Nawaz Sharif. Doctors said that former prime minister was in need of aggressive medication and regular follow-ups to avoid further health complications. Sharif is currently serving a seven-year prison term in the Al Azizia Mills corruption case.
