As Pakistan PM Imran Khan is on a visit to United States, he for first time revealed that  ISI provided intelligence to CIA which helped US track down and kill Osama bin Laden in Pakistan. This comes as a significant development as Islamabad had so far denied having any kwledge of dreaded al-Qaeda chief in country. He was shot dead by US Navy Seals in 2011.

Pakistan PM's maiden official trip to Washington revealed about ISI helping CIA during an interview with Fox News,  when he was asked wher his government would release jailed Pakistani surgeon Shakeel Afridi who helped CIA track down Osama in Pakistani garrison city of Abbottabad on May 2, 2011.

Khan's statement is significant because Pakistan had so far denied that it had any information about hideout of Osama before he was killed in a covert raid by US special forces. "It was Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) that gave information which led to location of Osama bin Laden. If you ask CIA it was ISI which gave initial location through phone connection," Khan said.
