Firebrand cleric-cum-politician Maulana Fazlur Rehman has fired a fresh salvo at Prime Minister Imran Khan, saying "Gorbachev of Pakistan" was heing a government that has its days numbered.
Speaking at a sit-in in Bannu city in sourn Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday, hard-line cleric and leer of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) hit out at prime minister for calling opposition leers "thieves", alleging that "selected" government has offered National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) to Khan's sister.

Rehman claimed time for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government led by Khan was running out.
" roots of this government have been cut. y have only a number of days left," Rehman warned.

"Imran Khan has given his sister an NRO. Give us a similar sewing machine which can earn you Rs 70 billion in one year," he was quoted as saying by Geo News.
National Reconciliation Ordinance was an ordinance issued in October 2007 granting pardon to politicians, political workers and bureaucrats accused of corruption, embezzlement, money laundering, murder, and terrorism.

Rehman said Khan was trying to be "Gorbachev of Pakistan". He used same expression to describe Khan earlier this month when he gave prime minister two days deline to tender his resignation.
JUI-F chief was responding to Khan's tire from previous day where he labelled Rehman's anti-government protest as a "circus".

Prime Minister Khan said on Monday that a "circus" took place in Islamab in name of 'Azi March' protest. He said protesters could t even stay for a month in capital as opposed to his party's 2014 protest of 126 days.

Khan said opposition leers h ulterior motives, which is why y resorted to dharna politics on containers.
Earlier, Rehman led a massive anti-government protest rally, dubbed 'Azi March', aimed at toppling incumbent government.

Rehman launched his protest on October 27 from Karachi and arrived in Islamab on October 31, leing a caravan of tens of thousands of followers.
He repeatedly said that protestors would stay until Khan resigned and new elections were anunced. government also engd him in talks but failed to make any heway as he refused to budge from key demand of resignation of Prime Minister.
Despite failure to achieve objective immediately, it is believed that he gained politically by showing his power to assemble large crowds. discipline and peace of protestors were also ackwledged even by his opponents.
opposition parties, including Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan People Party (PPP), h also thrown ir weight behind massive anti-government rally comprising thousands of protesters in Islamab.
Rehman claimed on Tuesday that protest h achieved its target and ded JUI-F did t go to federal capital without any purpose.
