Imran Khan's woes reach doorstep, Pak PM's Secretariat faces power cut

Troubles over basic ammenities continue to haunt Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, after Pakistan Secretriat was issued a tice by Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) of disconnection over n-payment of bills on Wednesday, according to Pakistani news media. Khan's Secretriat reportedly faces disconnection as he has electric bills running into crores of rupees due for payment. News ncies claim that Pakistani Secretriat currently owes over Rs 41 lakh to IESCO. Secretriat also owes over Rs. 35 lakh in dues for previous month, as per news reports.
Power cuts in Pakistan
Reports also claim that according to sources close to IESCO, Secretariat has failed to pay dues in spite of several reminder tices. "This is a recurrent problem with Secretariat. We will cut off power supply if dues are t paid," an IESCO source said in an interview. Pakistani news media claim that power cuts have been an imminent problem in recent years. This has been a major source of discontent among people with power cuts extending up to half a day in summers, as per news reports.

Flies swarm over Karachi
Previously on Wednesday, a man in Pakistan had moved Sindh High Court over Karachi's fly infestation, urging Pakistan authorities to take steps over this issue. Pak govt fails to tackle garb issue
In a bid to tackle issue, Pakistan government initiated 'Let's Clean Karachi' campaign over two weeks ago. But initiative failed to operate steadily in Pakistan's financial hub. Meanwhile, Pakistan's Sindh government has called for special prayers to get rid of menance of flies in Assembly, instead of taking garb disposal measures. Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan is yet to address this issue. But his government is currently attempting to distracting attention of local people by raising international issues and creating a hue and cry over Kashmir.

On or hand, Imran Khan has repeatedly meddled into Kashmir issue since Indian Parliament abrogated article 370. He has repeatedly fearmongered and peddled fake news on Kashmir's ground situation. He has also faced defeat on an international scale after he called for global mediation into bilateral issue. US President Trump, who had initially offered to mediate in Kashmir issue, backtracked later. Pakistan's ally China too had approached UNSC for an informal meeting on issue after Khan egged m to do so. But, UNSC to favoured India- calling Kashmir issue bilateral. India has all while maintained its stance that abrogation of article 370 is an internal matter while any or disputes regarding Kashmir will be solved bilaterally.
