In a major victory, victim of forced-conversion Jagjit Kaur has been returned to her family on Wednesday, as shared by Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa. After facing global anger due to inaction, Pakistan authorities seemed to have bowed to pressure. Taking to Twitter, Sirsa has expressed his gratitude towards MEA and media for highlighting situation. He has congratulated Indian government for victory. Kaur-a Pakistani Sikh girl was abducted on Thursday and forced to convert to Islam.

"Jagjit Kaur is returning back home. Today, Jagjit Kaur's far and bror met with her at Goverr's residence. Those who kidnapped her have asked for forgiveness and stated that y have relation henceforth with girl, returning her to her far and bror. This is a victory of justice-lovers and citizens. We will continue to fight for all such victims wher y are Sikh or Hindu. This fight will continue till every daughter (who has been kidnapped) has t returned home," said Sirsa.

Punjab CM takes up issue with MHA
Earlier in day, Punjab CM Amarinder Singh met with Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday and raised issue of abduction and alleged forced conversion of a Sikh girl Jagjit Kaur in Pakistan. "We have strongly related to this. I have publicly reacted to this and asked Pakistan PM that he must immediately look into matter. Government of India has taken this up with Pakistan," he said after meeting with Amit Shah.

Sikh girl abducted, forced to convert
Previously on Thursday, Sirsa had shared a video of grieving family telling how 18-year old Jagjit Kaur was allegedly abducted and converted to Islam in Pakistan. Sirsa had appealed to Pakistani Sikhs to seek help from Imran Khan. He also urged PM Narendra Modi and EAM Dr. S Jaishankar to raise this issue. family has alleged that she was converted by coercion. y said that she was threatened that her brors and far would be shot if she did t convert to Islam.
" woman who was abducted yesterday is my sister she was threatened that her brors and far would be shot if she did t accept Islam," said one of brors who identified himself as Manmohan Singh in video. "I request Imran Khan and Army Chief of Pakistan (Qamar Javed) Bajwa to help us in bringing girl back so that it does t backfire on m on Kartarpur and Kashmir issues," he added.

Sirsa calls Pak rescue a lie
Initially, on Saturday, ANI had reported that Kaur had been sent to her parents and that Punjab's Nankana Sahib police had arrested eight people in connection with case. But this lie was busted by Sirsa who tweeted that Sikh girl has t yet returned home. He alleged that victim was shown to her parents from a distance at Goverr’s House. He slammed Pakistan for spreading false news in a bid to curb Sikh anger. He said that this was bid by country to prevent Sikhs from protesting during International Sikh Convention of Lahore.
