Calling out Pakistan for its atrocities against mirities, Banglesh Christian Association slammed Imran-Khan led government on Thursday asking it to repeal its blasphemy law and release mirities who h been unlawfully arrested under it. Sending a letter to Imran Khan through Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka, association has called out persecution of mirities and Christians in state, talking about how mirities were falsely sentenced under blasphemy charges in country.
"We are aware that blasphemy remains a contentious issue in Pakistan and hundreds of Pakistani Christians and or mirities have fled country fearing for ir lives over allegations of blasphemy. Unproven accusations of blasphemy have led to extrajudicial killings, mob lynching and violent protests targetting mirity community members," letter said.

While quoiting multiple examples, association shared how a sessions court h sentenced Asif Pervaiz, a Pakistani Christian to death for allegedly sending a derogatory text mess over Prophet. letter also mentions a Christian man, David Masih, who was charged with blasphemy after ps of Quran were found in a drain in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province

"We would like to draw attention of Government of Pakistan as well as lawmakers, politicians, judiciary, civil society and people of Pakistan in this connection and demand repealing of blasphemy law as early as possible to save mirity people in Pakistan," letter re.
Calling out Pakistan's abuse of human rights, association has slammed Blasphemy law terming it as "vague and arbitrary", saying that it leaves massive scopes for "misuse", to fan communal hatred and enmity against mirities.
"We would highly appreciate if issue is taken care of in purview of human rights and humanity. We are looking forward to your sympatic steps and actions, letter concluded.
