Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday demanded fair distribution of COVID-19 vaccine in ecomically backward countries by suggesting a five-point nda to tackle pandemic and debt burden. Khan urged for 'creating a viable framework for an equitable and affordable supply of COVID vaccines to developing countries' while dressing fourth session of UN Conference on Tre and Development (UNCT).

Pakistan Prime Minister called for an affordable supply of coronavirus vaccines to developing countries.
"COVID-19 vaccines are w being ministered in developed countries but it seems like it will take much longer for vaccines to fully cover Global South. Sustainable development will remain elusive as long as pandemic persists," Pakistan Prime Minister stated.
Imran Khan ted that developing countries were 'trapped between recovering from pandemic and meeting ir debt servicing obligations', and urged for 'ditional debt relief by suspending debt repayments for most stressed countries until end of pandemic”.

'Continuous efforts are needed'
He also said Pakistan me an effort at ensuring that “we save people from dying from virus, and at same time preventing m from dying from hunger” and strategy has worked well so far, but continuous efforts are needed to fully overcome second wave of virus.

" world today is grappling with a series of interlinked and unprecedented public health and ecomic crises. While coronavirus does t discriminate between rich and poor, most vulnerable people and countries have suffered most," he said.

Meanwhile, Pakistan federal government has considered mortgaging gigantic Fatima Jinnah Park in F9 sector in Islamab for procuring a loan of 500 billion PKR, as per Pakistan media reports. park named after Mohamm Ali Jinnah's daughter is sprawled across 759 acres of land in F-9 sector in Pakistan's capital. As per local media reports, proposal of mortgaging Fatima Jinnah park has been included in nda of cabinet meeting scheduled to be held on Tuesday.
