Pakistan Army torn to shreds for doctored video of IAF veteran, netizens unsparing

Pakistan's Director-General of Inter-Services Public Relations Asif Ghafoor mocked himself on Sunday when he posted a doctored video of war hero and retired IAF Air Marshal, Denzil Keelor, claiming that it is an admission of "Indian failure" during the February 27 fight between the two countries after which Abhinandan Varthaman wing-commander in the IAF was captured. 

However, while speaking to Republic TV, Vir Chakra awardee Air Marshal Denzil Keelo busted the lie of the Pakistan Army's spokesperson, clarifying that he was talking in the context of the 1965 war in the video which was found to be a 2015 interview.

"I have nothing to say as the interview I gave was for 1965. If they have doctored it then I don't it is to what end. I only talk about 1965 and 71 of which I was a part of. Have they connected to Balakot or something? I say that in 1965 we both had casualties. We lost aircrafts on tactical error, which could have been avoided," he had said.

Soon after his lie of the fake video was busted, Asif Ghafoor admitted his mistake and said that it was doctored. Taking to Twitter, he claimed that admission and expression were too identical to differentiate.

However, the damage was already done with social media users calling out the lie of the Pak Army spokesperson. Netizens not only pointed out the mistake that Ghafoor made by posting a video shot in 2015, almost four years before the Balakot, and its ensuing incidents occurred in 2019, they hilariously trolled him. While DG ISPR is yet to formally apologise for his mistake, he has yet not deleted the doctored video from his Twitter handle.
