Pakistan court grants bail to Maryam Nawaz in money laundering case
Pakistan's Lahore High court on Monday granted bail to Maryam Nawaz, the daughter of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, in Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.

A Pakistani court on Monday granted bail to Maryam Nawaz, daughter of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, in a money laundering case. A two-member bench of Lahore High Court heed by Justice Ali Baqar Najafi granted Maryam bail in Chaudhry Sugar Mills case of money laundering. court h reserved verdict in case on October 31. Maryam h filed her bail application in case on "merits and humanitarian grounds". She h pleed that she wanted to look after her far whose condition is "critical".
Bail granted to Maryam on humanitarian grounds
All three siblings -- Hussain, Hasan, and Asma -- have been in London. Sharif's sons have been declared proclaimed offenders by Pakistani accountability court in corruption cases. " court has granted Maryam bail on merit and t on humanitarian grounds," an LHC official told PTI. official said court granted her bail after listening to arguments from both sides. He said court also observed that she is a woman and could t be put behind bars till money laundering charges are t proved against her. She has been asked to surrender her passport to court.

Nawaz Sharif secured eight weeks bail
She is also on bail in Avenfield corruption case in which she was sentenced to seven years in prison. Maryam, who is vice-president of PML-N, was arrested in first week of August in money laundering case of Chaudhry Sugar Mills. 69-year-old three-time prime minister has alrey secured bail for eight weeks on medical grounds in Al-Azizia Mills corruption case in which he was serving seven-year imprisonment.

He has been under treatment in Lahore's Services Hospital for his different medical complications especially his low platelets and heart. re are strong rumours that Sharif will soon leave for London for his treatment and Maryam may also company him after government removes ir banes from -fly list. PML-N has alrey declared that Sharif will decide about his leaving abro for his treatment.
