Pakistan Supreme Court orders immediate rebuilding of vandalised Hindu temple
The Supreme Court of Pakistan has ordered the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to immediately start rebuilding a Hindu temple, which was set fire by a mob in 2020.

Supreme Court of Pakistan has ordered Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to immediately start rebuilding a century-old temple, which was vandalised by a mob in December last year, as reported by PTI. For purpose of same, top court has asked provincial government to submit a timeline for its completion. In a bid to punish offenders, apex body also ordered that all money required for reconstruction of temple should be collected from those who charred it.
On December 30, a mob led by a local cleric and supporters of a religious political party, attacked shrine in Terri vill, Kerak district after Hindu community was granted permission from local authorities to revate temple. A first information report was registered against two clerics, identified as Maulana Faizullah and Maulvi Mohamm Sharif, and many unidentified people.

During hearing of suo moto case, Evacuee Trust Property Board told chief justice Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed that arrests or recoveries were me as of w. Following same, chief justice said chairperson of trust property board should be summoned and called for submission of a detailed report containing all progress me in matter.

Army opens fire on civilians in state
This comes as Pakistan Army allegedly opened fire on civilian population in Kohistan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province on Tuesday, February 10. According to Baloch Republican Party, military has started a massive operation in region where gunships are being used on civilian population.

As per Sher Mohamm Bugti, spokesperson of party, deaths of at least two Marri Balochs have been confirmed, while a large number of women and children have been reportedly been abducted. region is located at a short distance from China–Pakistan Ecomic Corridor and has seen protests by locals who are against massive development project.
