Military confrontation between India and Pakistan
Defence Minister suggested that India and Pakistan could enter into a 'military confrontation' as world is t taking any action on Kashmir issue. However, he ded that his country does t want a war with India. This is a huge shift in his position with regards to “war with India”. In February 2019, Minister h claimed how India and Pakistan "could t afford a war” and that his Government would highlight issue of Kashmir as many “global leers” were supportive of ir stand. By March 2019, Minister h changed his tone and sounded conciliatory saying that y “do t want war with India” as Pakistan is a “peace-loving country”. For Minister to change his stance on entire issue is hardly surprising.

Contrictory statements by Khattak
While dressing community in wshera, he kept on making contrictory statements. For example, he claimed that government of Pakistan has “successfully internationalised” issue of Kashmir and n went on to raise his concerns about “inaction of global community”. lack of clarity in ir approach as a result of powerful countries standing with India is t only reflected in comments of certain leers but almost all key Cabinet holders have gripped ir isolation. Minister of Interior Affairs Ijaz Ahmed Shah recently mitted how Pakistan government has failed to get support of International community. Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan h also moaned about failure to grab support of Muslim world as y h “business” interests with India. Minister of Foreign Affairs Shah Mehmood Qureshi too h asked his people to “t live in fool's parise” over Kashmir issue.
