Days after a Pakistani singer posted a bizarre video on social media with snakes, python, and alligators, a legal action has been initiated against her by the forest department of Pakistan. The singer named Rabi Pirzada had on September 5 posted a video on her social media handles in which she was playing with snakes and threatening Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She said that the pythons are 'special gifts' for PM Modi. "I, a Kashmiri lady, is ready with her snakes for India. These gifts are for Modi actually. You are bothering Kashmiris so this is what I have prepared for you. So, get ready, okay? And my friends (snakes and alligators) would feast on you," she said. Here is her video:
After the video went viral, the Pakistani administration booked the singer and she has been given two-year jail for violating the country's Wildlife Protection rules. The Pakistani officials said that as per rules such exotic animals cannot be made pets. However, in her defence, Pirzada said that all those who are reminding her of the wildlife protection rules did not care about the justice of Kashmiris. She also claimed that when she went to the Pakistani Forest office to acquire licenses of those snakes, she was unable to find any officials there.
Imran Khan snubbed in PoK
Meanwhile, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan went to Muzaffarabad which is the capital of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) to address the people and express his solidarity to the citizens. In what came as an embarrassment to Imran Khan, people in PoK not only boycotted his rally but also sloganeered against him. Videos from his rally shows people sloganeering 'go back Naizi'. Pictures from the rally shows empty chairs. Moreover, army personnel from various areas were brought in to act as crowd for Imran Khan's rally.
Electric shock to Pakistan Minister
In yet another bizarre incident, Pakistani railway minister got electric shock as he uttered the word 'Modi'. Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad on August 30 was addressing a crowd as Imran Khan had declared 'Kashmir Hour' and urged citizens to 'stand up' to express solidarity to Kashmiris. The railway minister said received electric shock from his mic as he said that Modi abrogated Article 370. In the video that went viral, he was heard saying, "Ooi I received shock. When I said Modi he sent electric shock, but he cannot stop me." Below is the video:
Article 370 scrapped by India
On August 5, India scrapped Article 370 of the Constitution that provided special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir. It also bifurcated the state into two union territories. India's decision created ruckus in Pakistan with its PM Imran Khan claiming that India cannot take unilateral decision regarding Kashmir. India, however, clarified that it is an internal issue and well within its power. The relation between the two nuclear neighbours deteriorated when Pakistan downgraded trade ties and sent back India's high commissioner to Pakistan Ajay Bisaria. India, on its part, stated on all international forums that Kashmir is an internal matter and any talks over it will be held bilaterally. India has also strictly adhered to its stance regarding diplomatic talks with Pakistan saying that talks and terror cannot go hand in hand.
