Pak's coronavirus infections rise to 5

A 45-year-old woman, who returned from Iran, tested positive for the deadly coronavirus in Pakistan, taking the total number of the COVID-19 infections in the country to five, officials said on Tuesday.

"We have w 5th confirmed case of #COVID19 in federal areas. Patient is stable and is being mand well. I request media to respect privacy of patient and family,” tweeted Dr Zafar Mirza, Special visor on Health.

blood samples of patient were referred to National Institute of Health, Islamab, from Gilgit district hospital on Saturday.

Officials said that patient has been mitted to an isolated ward after testing positive.

GB government anunced to shut down educational institutional till March 7 after confirmation of its first coronavirus case. Sindh and Balochistan province have alrey closed ir schools and college after dely virus surfaced in country.

Pakistan has also closed its border with Iran and Afghanistan. So far, coronavirus related death has been reported in Pakistan. Mirza said that all patients were in a stable condition.
