Taliban slams Pakistan for linking J&K to save face in Afghanistan, calls out Imran Khan and co

A day after Pakistan compared situation in Afghanistan to that in Kashmir, the Taliban slammed Pakistan for linking the two. Speaking to local news agency, Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahed was quoted as saying that linking the two two should not be done as they are not related.

Earlier this week, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif compared situation in Afghanistan with that of Kashmir saying: "What kind of a deal is this that Afghans enjoy and celebrate peace in Kabul, but in Kashmir, blood is shed? , this is t acceptable for us," Sharif said in Pakistan Parliament. remarks did t go on well with Afghan citizens who voiced ir displeasure on social media.

Meanwhile, Embassy of Pakistan in Kabul stressed that Kashmir issue between India and Pakistan will t hamper peace efforts in Afghanistan. " issue of Kashmir has thing to do with violence in Afghanistan and it is unfortunately still unresolved...," Pakistan's Ambassor to Afghanistan Zahid Nasrullah Khan told reporters on Thursday.

Rattled by New Delhi's decisions, Islamab "rejected" move and said it will exercise "all possible options" to counter steps. Pakistan on Wednesday decided to downgre bilateral ties with India and suspend all bilateral tre activities with neighbouring country in aftermath of scrapping of Jammu and Kashmir's special status. On its part, New Delhi asked Islamab to review its decision so that rmal channels for diplomatic communications are preserved while strictly maintaining that its steps in Jammu and Kashmir are an "entirely internal affair".

Pakistan's reaction after Article 370's abrogation:

After rmalcy has been restored in Kashmir, a panicky and isolated Pakistan has expelled Indian envoy Ajay Bisaria from country. As per sources, Pakistan has also decided to t send its High Commissioner-designate who was supposed to take charge in August. It has on Thursday decided to stop Samjhauta Express - a train service between India's Attari and Pakistan's Lahore.
