Terror-thirsty, Imran Khan boss Qamar Javed Bajwa’s tenure extended as Chief of Army Staff for 3 years

In yet another terror-supporting move, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday, extended the term of Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa by three years after the end of his current tenure to tackle 'regional security' issues in the current environment as stated in an official statement by the Pakistan PMO

In yet ar terror-supporting move, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday, extended term of Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa by three years after end of his current tenure to tackle 'regional security' issues in current environment as stated in an official statement by Pakistan PMO.

Bajwa, who is kwn to be Imran Khan's mentor assumed charge as 16th Chief of Army Staff for Pakistan Army in vember 2016.

Since n an increased number of ceasefire violations and outright attacks into Kashmir has been witnessed. In 2017,  Pakistan-based terror outfits indulged in 163 incidents of terror in Valley killing 54 civilians and martyring 83 security forces. In fact, since Bajwa took over number of infiltration attempts went from 165 in 2016 to 220 in 2017 and 271 in 2018.

Moreover, recently after being faced with blacklisting by FATF, Bajwa has reportedly directly interfered into Pakistan government's decisions pushing for a cabinet reshuffle. This ultimately led to Bajwa's appointment as a member of newly-formed National Development Council heed by Prime Minister Imran Khan.

extension of Bajwa comes amidst tensions in Pakistan occupied Kashmir region after abrogation of article 370, where Bajwa h threatened that his troops were prepared to go to any extent to help Kashmiris. While Khan himself has mitted his fear of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Centre, expressing his 'concern' over mirities in India claiming 'ethnic cleaning ideology' of BJP. This mission comes a day after Khan h to accept UNSC's decision to solve Kashmir issue bilaterally with India.

Earlier on Friday, Pakistan failed to rile up international community at close consultations at United Nations Security Council (UNSC) through China by fearmongering over abrogation of Article 370.  India's UN representative Syed Akbaruddin shared that UNSC appreciated India's effort to resolve Kashmir issue.
