Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Saturday asserted that PM Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government will t resign on January 31. remarks come in wake of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) intensifying its campaign to out PTI government from power.
'ir rallies do t have that strength': Qureshi
"PM Imran Khan enjoys confidence of National Assembly. Why would he resign on Opposition's demand?" Qureshi, who is also PTI's senior vice-chairperson, said while speaking to Geo News, after 11-party-opposition alliance anunced its goal to intensify its anti-government campaign by asking Imran Khan to resign by January 31. He said that PDM h earlier anunced to resign from assemblies on December 31, but date passed, Geo News reported.

" public has realised Opposition's true nda and ir jalsas (rallies) do t have that strength," Qureshi said and furr claimed that PDM will contest Senate elections and by-polls.
However, Pakistan Muslim Leauge-Nawaz vice president Maryam Nawaz said that Opposition alliance will t contest upper-house elections without consensus. PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said on Friday that opposition's movement would longer be directed only at Prime Minister Imran Khan-led government but also "his backers". Rehman said it was decided after detailed discussions that Opposition will participate in upcoming by-elections but re h been decision on contesting in Senate elections.

"PDM has come out stronger than before and is more determined than before to rid nation of this illegitimate government," said PDM chief and ded that all PDM constituent parties h reported to meeting today that resignations of "all" Opposition lawmakers h reached ir party leerships, in accordance with December 31 date given for this purpose by alliance, as reported by Dawn.
PDM has demanded resignation of Prime Minister Imran Khan till January 31 and in case of denial for this demand, front has anunced a rally against government. Maryam Nawaz and Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari are among major leers who have repeatedly said that y will send Imran-led government packing and have organised several PDM rallies held in Peshawar, Gujranwala, Karachi, Quetta, Multan and Lahore since October 16.
