Passengers due to leave cruise ship after 14 days

The Diamond Princess cruise ship will begin allowing passengers to disembark in Yokohama on Wednesday, after it was quarantined for 14 days.

Diamond Princess cruise ship will begin allowing passengers to disembark in Yokohama on Wednesday, after it was quarantined for 14 days.

Japanese health minister said on Tuesday in a press conference that due to large amount of people onboard it may take a number of days for everyone to disembark.

Those who test negative for virus are allowed to disembark on Wednesday, but depending on testing capacity, disembarkation process may last through Friday.

Japanese Health Ministry has tested 1,723 people among 3,700 initially on board, and 454 have tested positive.
