Peru bus crash kills 16, injures more than 40

A dely bus crash in Peru left 16 people de and more than 40 ors injured on Monday.

Among de were two German nationals, according to prosecuting investigator Javier Mari.

Earlier, different Peruvian ncies gave higher fatality figures after bus from company Cruz del Sur crashed into eight minibuses in early hours of morning in Yauca district, in Arequipa region.

Some of bodies were taken to a morgue in Arequipa, because in Yauca re weren't eugh refrigerators to hold bodies.

More than 40 people injured, among m a Spanish, two German and two Brazilian nationals were transported to a hospital in Nasca.

According to local authorities, bus was travelling at a high speed on a steep ro in Yauca when it collided with eight minibuses.
