Pfizer's delivery of COVID-19 vaccine delayed to Spain & other EU nations, issue resolved
The delivery of a new batch of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine to Spain and eight other European Union nations has been delayed due to some logistical issues.

Spanish Health Ministry on Monday said that delivery of new batch of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, which was earlier scheduled to arrive on Monday, will w reach on Tuesday. According to Sky News, Spain's Health Minister Salvor Illa, while speaking to local media, said that delay was caused due to a temperature control issue, which has w been resolved and shipment is rey to fly.

'Sufficient for all Spanish citizens'
Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine requires a minimum stor temperature of -70 degrees Celcius, which poses a huge logistical challenge for manufacturers and its customers. Spain and or European nations are receiving weekly doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine approved by EU on December 12. Spain started vaccination campaign in country on December 27 after EU said it will start iculation process in region between December 27 and 29. Salvor Illa, in a press statement on December 18, h said that re will be a sufficient number of doses available for all Spanish citizens.

"It will be a significant number of doses that will reach our country but it will be a progressive and weekly process; we will receive doses and distribute m among CCAA, which will be ones that cite people who have to be vaccinated according to priority groups established in Vaccination Strategy," Illa h said in a statement.
