'Behind scenes' video showed a series of photos with top leers including Angela Merkel, Chancellor of Germany, Prime Minister of New Zealand, Jacinda Ardern, PM of Bhutan,  President of Columbia, as well as leers from Saint Vincent and  Grenines and Nerlands, talking to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Syed Akbaruddin, who received Prime Minister Narendra Modi at airport on Sunday, September 23, also said that members of Permanent Mission of India to UN have waited for long to greet Prime Minister.

UN Climate Action Summit 2019

According to press release, leers from government, business, and civil society anunced potentially far-reaching steps to confront climate change at United Nations Secretary-General’s Climate Action Summit in New York. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres h directed participating countries to come with concrete and realistic plans, to enhance ir nationally determined contributions by 2020. aim is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 45 per cent over next dece, and to net zero emissions by 2050. UN estimates that world would need to increase its efforts between three- and five-fold to contain climate change to levels dictated by science – a 1.5°C rise at most – and avoid escalating climate dam alrey taking place around world.
