PM Narendra Modi condemns Sri Lanka blasts, extends solidarity and prayers to families of victims

Following the six tragic blasts in Sri Lanka on Sunday, where 129 are reported to be killed and around 400 injured, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has tweeted condemning the horrific blasts, extending India's solidarity with the people of Sri Lanka. He also shared his thoughts and prayers with the victims' families and the injured.

Following six tragic blasts in Sri Lanka on Sunday, where 129 are reported to be killed and around 400 injured, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has tweeted condemning horrific blasts, extending India's solidarity with people of Sri Lanka. He also shared his thoughts and prayers with victims' families and injured.

"Strongly condemn horrific blasts in Sri Lanka. re is place for such barbarism in our region. India stands in solidarity with people of Sri Lanka. My thoughts are with bereaved families and prayers with injured," wrote Prime Minister.

He furr wrote in Sinhala, his condemnation against terrorism and extended a feeling of empathy felt by India' to fight against terrorism and bring those responsible for attack to justice'

Earlier, EAM Sushma Swaraj h extended her help to all Indians in Colombo and shared assistance numbers for Indians in need.

Three churches- St Anthony's Church in Colombo, St Sebastian's Church in western coastal town of Negombo and ar church in eastern town of Batticaloa and three hotels Shangrila, Cinnamon Grand, and Kingsbury were targeted, killing 129 people and injuring over 400, as per reports.

blasts occurred at around 8.45 a.m. (local time) as Easter Sunday masses were in progress, police spokesman Ruwan Gunasekera said.
