Pope prays for Lebanon, Belarus, people affected by COVID
Pope Francis celebrated the Angelus prayer on Sunday, speaking to hundreds of faithful gathered in St. Peter Square in anticipation of the Pontiff's remarks.

Pope Francis celebrated the Angelus prayer on Sunday, speaking to hundreds of faithful gathered in St. Peter Square in anticipation of the Pontiff's remarks.
Francis recalled the dramatic situation in Lebanon and said he prayed for people there as well as for other dramatic situations that are causing pain and suffering around the world.

He also spoke about the Belarus post-election crisis, appealing for dialogue.
Before saluting the faithful in St. Peter Square, the Pope urged not to forget about the consequences of COVID on so many families, many of whom are facing joblessness and poverty.
