Protest against virus restrictions in Romania

Hundreds of people gared in Bucharest's University Square on Saturday to demonstrate against measures imposed by Romanian government to curb spre of coronavirus.  protest h heavily religious and nationalist components with protesters singing religious songs between speeches given by several members of Romanian Orthodox community.

People chanted slogans against wearing face masks saying that face coverings restrict ir freedom. No measures were taken to disperse crowd. On Saturday, total number of confirmed infections in Romania - country of some 19 million people - stood at over 152,000 including 5,358 deaths.
