Protesters demand end of lockdown in Argentina

Protesters gathered in the Plaza de Mayo in Buenos Aires on Monday to demand the government lift the quarantine that's been in force since March 20.

Protesters gared in Plaza de Mayo in Bues Aires on Monday to demand government lift quarantine that's been in force since March 20.

Some of demonstrators chanted slogans against quarantine and against development of a vaccine.

y held banners deuncing so-called new world order and demanded resignation of President Alberto Fernandez.

Some of protesters accepted reality of pandemic but said most important issue wasn't Argentina's relatively low death toll but state of ecomy.

As of Monday, Argentina h reported more than 12,600 COVID-19 cases and 467 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University.
