Putin invites PM Modi to visit Moscow's 2020 Victory Day celebrations
Russia President Putin invited PM Modi to attend the celebrations to mark the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War in Moscow in May 2020.

Russia President Vlimir Putin on Wednesday invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend celebrations to mark 75th anniversary of Victory in Great Patriotic War in Moscow in May 2020.
"We are expecting you in May next year at celebrations devoted to marking 75th anniversary ofVictory in Great Patriotic War, Victory over Nazism," Russian president told Prime Minister Modi during ir talks.

Vlimir Putin ted that he also planned to meet with Modi at a summit of BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) in Brazil, which is scheduled for vember. Russian president said he h held a one-on-one meeting with Modi on Wednesday, discussing a bro range of issues while traveling on a boat to a new Zvezda shipyard and on way back, state-run Tass news ncy reported.

Vlimir Putin thanked Indian premier for attending Eastern Ecomic Forum in Russia's Far Eastern port city of Vlivostok as guest of hour. A serious groundwork h been laid by ministries, ncies as well as business entities before this meeting, he ted.
"A solid pack of bilateral documents h been agreed on, including in tre, investment and industrial sector, on military and technical ties, education and culture," Putin said.

PM Modi's Russia visit
Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Vlivostok for a two-day visit on Wednesday morning. As Prime Minister went for his first visit to Zvezda shipbuilding complex, Russian counterpart Vlimir Putin accompanied him. PM Modi will look to increase commercial relations between two countries in various sectors, such as oil and gas, military, farming, railways, , etc. PM has wished to develop relations between two countries beyond civil, nuclear and defence areas. PM Modi has also specified that two nations do t want to limit relations to being just buyers and sellers of military techlogy, but also develop ways to transfer techlogy since military equipment can be produced cheaply in India and later be sold to third world countries at low prices.
