As per international reports, a senior politician said that it was due to ring on Soleimani's hand that he could be identified. After confirmation of Iran's top commander's death, Iraqi journalists shared videos from scene on social media which reportedly showed close-ups of Soleimani's ring.
US strike took place on Friday when Soleimani h disembarked from a plane and blast tore his body to pieces along with that of deputy commander of Iranian-backed militias in Iraq kwn as Popular Mobilization Forces, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and six ors. According to Iranian reports, nearly ten people were killed in drone strike including Soleimani's son-in-law.

In ar statement, Rouhani also said that “re is doubt that great nation of Iran and or free nations of region will take revenge for this gruesome crime from criminal America”. Iran's supreme leer Ayatollah Ali Khamenei also reportedly warned of 'severe revenge for criminals who bloodied ir foul hands with his blood'. Khamenei furr also said that Soleimani's work and his path will t be stopped.
