Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi Get Emotional While Paying Last Respects To Ambareesh; Amitabh Bachchan, Mammootty, Others Express Their Grief

Celebrities from across industries mourned the death of veteran actor-politician Ambareesh in Bengaluru late on 24 November. Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi and Sudeep were those who were present to pay their last respects to him in Bengaluru on November 25.

Celebrities from across industries mourned the death of veteran actor-politician Ambareesh in Bengaluru late on Saturday. Rajinikanth called him ‘A wonderful human being’ and his ‘best friend’. Amitabh Bachchan was ‘grieved’ by the loss of his 'colleague.' Mammootty called Ambareesh one of the ‘first real friends’ from his ‘early Madras days' and that he couldn’t express the loss he feels.

Allu Arjun, Nani, Radhikaa Sarathkumar, Raai Laxmi, Khushbu Sundar, Kriti Kharbanda, Raai Laxmi, Sai Dharam Tej were among those who took to Twitter to convey their grief on his death by using words like ‘shocking news' and ‘huge loss’ and went on to praise the veteran by terming him as a ‘man with a golden soul’, ‘legend’ and a father figure.

Ambareesh's mortal remains were kept at the Kanteerava stadium in Bengaluru on 25 November. Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi and Sudeep were those who were present and seen getting emotional while paying their last respects to the veteran actor-politician.

Ambareesh passed away reportedly due to a cardiac arrest at Bengaluru. He was 66 years old. The actor-politician had shot to fame with the National award-winning ‘Naagarahaavu’ in 1972, following which he established his image as a ‘Rebel Star’ with numerous antagonistic roles in a career spanning over 200 films. He later ventured into politics and served as an MLA,  Union Minister of state as well as Karnataka state minister.
